Movie Poster
A movie poster is a great medium to inspire interests and to create the very first impression of the film, which can make or break the desire of movie-goers to watch the film. A movie poster is basically a glimpse into what the movie is about and therefore it is important to make it reflect the movie as much as possible. The best way to do this is to recreate the main storyline the movie revolves around on the poster. Capturing the essence of the movie in the poster is essential as it dictates all of the design choices you’ll be making. In this project, students will be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills acquired through the prior exercises performed in this class through the design of a movie poster.
moodboard.
before designing the movie poster, we first had to make a moodboard to show the ideas or inspirations for the movie poster
I got inspired by a comic my friend and I made when we were in elementary, the characters has stuck with me until now and I thought it would be really fun to make a poster about it.
drafts.
after the moodboard, we then had to sketch out 2 drafts for the movie poster on A5 paper.

self-reflection.
I was very happy to find out that our first project was to make a movie poster, there was so many posibilities and ideas I had in mind for this project and it was a really great way for us to express our ideas. Making a moodboard, sketching out drafts , working on the final poster didn't feel like it was an actual project and more to something I would do in my own spare time as a hobby, which is a good thing as I was not burdened with the deadline or the fact that its a project.
