Structure and Body: Material, Anthropometric and Ergonomic Exploration

This project familiarised students with several materials to understand the nature and characteristics of materials and how it is to be used in their design. The next step is to amalgamate their design intention (chosen from Project 1) with anthropometry and ergonomics to form their structures.

self reflection.

this project was a huge step from project 1 and in my opinion the most tiring project out of the 3 for AD1. From a 10cmx10cmx10cm model to a +-2.5m cubic 1:1 structure. I had fun designing the structure but building it was extremely tedious and tiring for me. I underestimated how tiring and long cutting cardboard could be and my arm got really sore after a few days working on the structure. Since we had to use recycled materials for this project it was also kind of hard to find enough materials for this project. When I was finally finished building the strcuture, I felt so relieved and accomplished that it actually held together and didn't fall apart. There is definite adjustments that can be made to the design to make it better but overall I'm proud on how it turned out.
