Infographic

For this project, we had to create an infographic poster to show that we understand how traditional Asian architecture and vernacular building developed historically in particular locale

By applying the lecture material to traditional or vernacular architecture, we were to choose one of the following architectural styles:

China's historical architecture

Indian architectural style

Malay traditional architecture

Southeast Asian regional architecture

An overview of design thinking, the impact of cosmology, history, society, and culture on the production and development of architecture, as well as one theme from one of building typology, spatial layout conception and structures, materials and construction, were all required to be included in our infographic framework.

self-reflection.

Choosing any topic from the lectures, I decided to focus on the spatial layout of Candi Prambanan located in Yogyakarta, Indonesia as it is one of my favourite temples. It is my favourite because of its mythology but it was interesting to learn about the spatial layouts and why its planned out the way it is. Overall, this assignment helped me in understanding a particular spatial layout and even understanding how religion affects architecture.
